The CPC in Kebbi has called on INEC to be absolutely neutral in the conduct of the gubernatorial re-run and State House of Assembly bye-elections.?
The Secretary of the CPC in the state, Alhaji Mohammed Jabbo, told newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday that the delay in the release of information to political parties had given room for insinuations and misinformation.
Jabbo said the situation had compelled people to conclude that the commission was working to favour the ruling party.???
He called on INEC to ensure that all political parties were adequately informed on any crucial matter regarding the re-run election to absolve the commission of blame.???
He said that INEC was yet to provide details on the conduct of fresh House of Representatives election for Suru and Bagudo Constituencies after the Court of Appeal had ordered for it.???
The scribe, however, commended the security agencies for their role during past elections and urged them to ensure they performed creditably in future.
The governorship re-run election has been scheduled to hold on Saturday, March 31.
