As the Osun State congress of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) remains four days away, five of the leading Chairmanship aspirants?? have stepped down for the consensus candidate, Honourable Kayode Idowu.
The aspirants in a joint statement yesterday stated that they took the? decision in line with the elders of the party in the? State which last week picked former member, House of Representatives,? Hon. Kayode Idowu as the party’s consensus candidate among the nine? aspirants.
Those who endorsed the candidacy of Hon. Idowu include Elder Funso? Ishola, former Senate leader of the party, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, former? Senatorial aspirant, Hon. Sarafadeen Abiodun Awotunde, former Local? Government Chairman, Chief Enoch Olagunju and Alhaji Rasheed Durodoye.
