Vice President Namadi Sambo on Tuesday in Kaduna assured supporters of the PDP of a free and fair Zonal congress of the party.??
The congress, scheduled for Wednesday in Kaduna, is expected to produce zonal officials who would run the affairs of the party in the next four years.
Sambo, who gave the assurance at the opening of the PDP North West Zonal meeting, pledged that the party would continue to provide dividends of democracy to Nigerians.
He urged the supporters to mobilise people in their respective areas for the party and called on them be peaceful and organised during the congress.??
The Zonal chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Kazaure, told the meeting that the secretariat was set for the congress, and commended PDP governors in the zone for their support in the last four years.
The meeting was attended by PDP governors in the zone, party officials, political appointees and members of the National Assembly. (NAN)
