He said: “We were together that evening and he said he was supposed to go to the roundabout to meet with someone. One of our friends who was there was supposed to drop him off, but his car had a minor fault so he asked another friend, Aliyu Sani to drop him off.

“Sani dropped him and he went to meet a man sitting in by car by the road side and was waiting for him in the car. He later called to say while he was waiting, he saw two men and a woman advance towards the car and engage Alkali who had been sitting in the front passenger seat of the car, discussing with the driver for about 15 minutes in a discussion after which they asked Alkail to alight and move to the back of the coupe car and two of them entered and sat there, sandwiching him between them.”

Usman further stated that after Alkali had been put behind the car, one of the men walked towards him? but he quickly locked the car and sped off when the man attempted to force his way into the car.
