There are conflicting reports on the circumstances surrounding the death of Senator Gyang Datong, representing Plateau North in the senate and Hon Danfulani, the majority leader in the Plateau State House of Assembly.
According to a reliable source, the two were murdered today alongside several others during the mass burial session of those murdered yesterday in Plateau State.
However, NAN reports that Sen. Datong died of a heart attack.
A text message from NAN reads: “Sen. Gyang Datong, Plateau North, dies of heart attack, aged 53, his brother Rwang Dantong confirms”.
23 people were killed in seven Berom villages of Barkin Ladi local government of Plateau State on Saturday.
