Speaker of the House of Representatives Aminu Tambuwal has condemned the Friday attack on a mosque in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital. The action was callous and unacceptable, he said.
He urged any aggrieved persons or groups to embrace dialogue rather than take the option of violence in the pursuit of their perceived grievances. He said no country will afford to continue to allow its people to be killed unabated.
Also, the president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, has condemned the attack and urged the Shehu of Borno not to be deterred by the dastardly act.?
