2 Chinese Nationals Die In A Brawl Over Money – Police

The Kano Police Command has reported the death of two Chinese nationals who were said to have engaged in a brawl over money. One was said to have died at the scene of the fracas while the other died later at a hospital.

The command claimed to have in custody two other Chinese nationals who were also arrested at the scene of the killing.

The state Police commissioner Ibrahim K Idiris told journalists in his office yesterday that the incident happened around Kwanar Ganduje in Sharada Quarters.

He said a neighbor of the Chinese nationals tipped the police off on the heavy fight in the area when he heard a shout in the nearby company, which led to the prompt police arrival to save the situation.

He said that at the time the police arrived at the scene, one Xusheng Kun was seriously injured and the other one a.k.a old man was also in state of coma.

The Commissioner noted that Xusheng Kun was later reported dead while the other one died at the Murtala Muhammad Hospital, and added that others found at the resident, Jinbo Zhao Dang Dong, and Smith Zhang Ze who were all staff of Zhao Dongs Nigeria Limited were all arrested while trying to escape.

He said the police had recovered in the house, one Chinese machete and other dangerous weapons, and explained that full investigations have commenced to unravel the actual reason behind the fight.

In the same vein, the Command had made a breakthrough by clearing major criminal black spots in the ancient city which have been terrorising people over time

He said that about 216 of men of the underworld were now cooling their heels in the CID Department of the command.

Ibrahim K. Idiris, noted that the raid was conducted after the Criminal Investigation Department of the command had done a thorough intelligent job by identifying the black spots, and added that 159 suspects were charged to Court while 57 others were screened by the command.

He said the areas that were raided included Dala, Sharada, Panshekara, Rijiyar Zaki, Jakara, Kofar Wambai and Filin Parking.

He said the general public should go about their normal businesses without fear of molestation.

The commissioner also said that the command has arrested over 15 persons in connection with the rape of under aged children of between 3 to 4 years.
