Kaduna State Christians Pilgrims Welfare Board has said that necessary preparations towards a hitch free 2012 pilgrimage are at an advance stage.

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Rev (Dr) Joseph Jatua Yari disclosed this in Kaduna while briefing newsmen on the level of preparation for the 2012 Holy pilgrimage, even as he assured that this year’s pilgrimage would be much better that the previous ones.

Rev. Yari also disclosed that no fewer than 2000 Christians from Kaduna State were expected to perform the religious exercise; this was just as he disclosed that the sale of forms for the Holy pilgrimage was already ongoing at the cost of N2000 and must be returned on or before September 15, 2012.

He, however, said that completed form must be accompanied with photocopy of e- passport for it to be valid.

The Secretary gave the assurance that whatever lapses identified in the previous exercise would be corrected this year, while soliciting for public spirited individuals, corporate organisations and churches to sponsor people on this year’s pilgrimage.

While commending Governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa for his commitment towards assisting pilgrims, he said that the board would make public Kaduna State package for this year’s Holy pilgrimage, which he said was basically an opportunity for people to pray for themselves, the state and the `country at large.
