The Police on Monday arraigned Mohammadu Dankasa,75, of Life Camp, Abuja, before an Abuja Magistrates’ Court for alleged criminal breach of trust and cheating.
Police prosecutor Sani Yusuf told the court that the matter was reported on Aug. 9 at the Utako Police Station by Husseni Bisari of Wuse Zone 6.
Yusuf said that sometime in May the complainant entrusted his generator valued at N70,000 to the accused to sell for him and he converted the proceeds to his own use.
He said that during investigation the accused, who pleaded not guilty to the offence in court, confessed to committing the crime.
Magistrate Mimi Katsina-Alu granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with a reliable surety in like sum and adjourned hearing in the case to Aug. 22. (NAN)
