The Police in Gombe State have assured the people of the state of security of their lives and property during the Eid-El-fitr celebrations and beyond.
The outgoing Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr Ibrahim Abdu, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on phone on Wednesday in Gombe that the police were prepared for the festivities.
Abdu said, “We are prepared and waiting for the time to come. We have done our operational order and we are ready for the festivities.''
According to him, the operation would cover both Gombe metropolis and other parts of the 11 local government areas of the state.
“I will not tell you how many men and officers we will deploy, but we are prepared and waiting for the time,'' Abdu added. (NAN)
