The Joint Task Force (JTF) in Yobe State has assured the residents of Yobe State of its determination to ensure peace and security of life and property of the people of the state.
In a statement made available to LEADERSHIP, JTF urged the residents of Damaturu, the state capital, not to panic, but to go about their normal daily activities.
This reassurance follows an attempted attack by gunmen on security operatives in Ajari Ward of Damaturu and its successful repulsion.? The taskforce? explained that the situation had been brought under control.
JTF further called on the members of the general public to continue? to offer their support and to always assist the force with relevant information which may help in improving the security situation in the area.
