Bauchi Attack: Yuguda Donates Food, Money To Families Of Deceased

Bauchi State Governor, Isa Yuguda, has donated food items and an undisclosed sums of money to the families of the victims of last Sunday’s attack which claimed nine lives in the Zango area of Bauchi metropolis.

The money and food items according to a press release from the Chief Press Secretary to the Bauchi State Governor, Ishola Michael Adeyemi, were presented yesterday by the Director General in the office of the Chief of Staff, Pastor Kennedy Masau, who led a government delegation on a condolence visit to the families of the bereaved at the COCIN Church, Zango.

While presenting government’s donations to the families through the? Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Kennedy Masau consoled the families of the deceased, saying that the donation is only a consolation rather than compensation.

Responding on behalf of the bereaved families, the leaderships of churches in Zango, emphasised the need for government to arrest and prosecute the perpetrators of the dastardly act as well as establish a security post within the area in order to prevent future occurrence.

Meanwhile, the leadership of the Bauchi Local Government chapter of CAN was at the Government House to thank the Governor for assisting the families of the victims of Sunday’s shooting in Zango.??

The local CAN leadership urged Christians to consider the death of their brethren in the shooting as an act of destiny and to desist from avenging the death.

The Chief of Staff at the Government House, Yusuf Musa Gumli while receiving the CAN delegation, condemned the attack.
