The incident which took place at the Kaduna Stadium round about in broad daylight generated heavy tension in Kaduna metropolis when other Okada riders mobilized themselves and blocked the major roads.

The killing? could have led to another round of hostility in the state capital, if not for the immediate intervention of the Army who quickly moved in to dispersed? other riders who were regrouping.

The Kaduna State Commissioner of Police Adefemi Adenaike confirmed the incident when contacted, adding that the? Police officer would soon be paraded in court.

According to him, “We are doing something about the policeman that killed the okada man. The culprit will be charged to court for murder. The law must take its full course; I have already briefed the Inspector General of police who have given me the mandate to go ahead with full investigation into the matter. We don’t train officers to kill innocent people in the society and take the law into their hands. We however appeal to law abiding citizens of the state to go about their normal activities as we are on top of the matter.”
