The anti-kidnapping squad of the Enugu Police Command said on Wednesday that it had arrested seven suspected kidnappers for their alleged role in the kidnap of one Mrs Roseline Nwokolo.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Ebere Amaraizu, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the victim was abducted on Sept. 28 and taken to a forest in Oji River Local Government Area of the state.
Amaraizu gave the names of the suspects as James Agu, Uchenna Nze, Olisa Nze, Benjamin Mmuodebelu, Obinna Igwe, Kingsley Eze and Ekene Ani.
The spokesman said the victim was rescued unhurt, adding that the suspects were arrested following a tip-off.
He said that the suspects were helping the police in their investigations.
