The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission in Kano, Mr Shehu Zaki, on Wednesday confirmed that gunmen killed two of its officers and injured one other on Madobi Road in Kano.
Zaki made the confirmation in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano,
According to him, the officers received a phone call to attend to an accident scene without knowing that they are being targeted and chased by the unknown gunmen.
“They headed to the area which was described to them and the men opened fire on them,'' he said.
He said that two of the officers lost their lives while the injure was hospitalised.
