Gunmen Attack: KDSG Places Dusk-To-Dawn Restriction On Motorcycles

The Kaduna State Government on Wednesday placed an indefinite ban on motorcycles operations in Sabon Gari Local Government Area of the state from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The? announcement is contained in a statement issued by the state commissioner for Information, Alhaji Saidu Adamu, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Kaduna.

The statement said the State Security Council took the decision to reinforce security in the area and protect the lives and property of citizens.

According to the statement, security agents have been posted to all nooks and crannies of the area to ensure compliance and any motorcyclist caught after 7.p.m will be prosecuted.

The statement further said that the state government appealed to the people of the state to be law abiding and report any suspicious movement to the nearest authority.

NAN recalls that gunmen had on Nov. 17 killed a police officer, Cpl. Benjamin Sule, and a civilian, Mr Nnamani Daniel, while two others were injured.

The injured persons, Uba Mamuda and John Oguche, are currently receiving treatment at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Shika, Zaria.
