Kebbi Elders Forum Wants Dakingari To Establish Industries

Prominent Kebbi State elders comprising seasoned administrators, politicians and other prominent citizens have implored Governor Saidu Dakingari to put all machinery in motion to ensure an industrial development of the State.

The Chairman of Kebbi Elders Forum, Alhaji Idris Koko (Madawakin Gwandu) made the call in a meeting with the Governor in Government House, Birnin Kebbi, yesterday.

Alhaji Koko said that a smooth take off of industries in the State like the fertiliser blending plant, transformer industry and other agro – allied industries would certainly move the state forward.

Responding, Governor Dakingari reiterated his government’s commitment to revitalising the fertiliser blending plant, transformer industry, Cement Factory through the use of abundant raw materials in the State.

Governor also advised the forum to set up committees to facilitate establishment of Industries in the State. This was just as he urged them to enlighten the people of Argungu who oppose the construction of Zauro polder project on the economic significance of the project to both the State and the nation at large.
