A Lagos High Court sitting in Igbosere, on Thursday, directed Major Hamza Al-Mustapha who was the former Chief Security Officer to the late of Head of State, General Sani Abacha and?Alhaji Lateef Sofolahan to open their defence in their ongoing trial for the murder of Kudirat Abiola.
However, Justice Mojisola Dada acquitted and discharged Mohammed Rabo-Lawal who was the Head of the Aso Rock Mobile Police.
The trial judge was ruling on the no-case submission filed on behalf of the accused persons by their counsel, Olalekan Ojo. The defence counsel had contended that the star prosecution witnesses, Sergeant Barnabas Jabila, alias Rogers and Mohammed Abdul, alias Katako repudiated during cross-examination the evidence they gave during their examination-in-chief.
