King Sunny Ade

The last time we talked about the King of Juju music, King Sunny Ade was when he stormed the Lafarge Gala Nite late last year to steal the show as all eyes which were formerly on the captains of industry that graced the occasion switched to rivet on the music legend who strolled in, looking simple in his cut-to-fit lace up and down.

Then, he had come to keep his eyes on his investment, as a shareholder of the company and maybe had some good time but this time around he is being scooped for a totally different reason.

Going by the legendary crooner’s style of music which is a blend of electric guitar, synthesizers and uptown melody that is all but too secular in nature one would have wagered he would be the last person to toe the gospel line.

But if the gist reaching SP is anything to go by the music legend may soon be singing gospel songs just as Chief Ebenezer Obey did before he resurfaced at the Adenuga’s wedding, back to his old trade.

The word out there now is that King Sunny Ade has discovered God in a new light following his close encounter with Pastor Enoch Adeboye of Redeem Christian Church of God. The said encounter is said to have rubbed off so deep on him that he goes around wearing the Church’s popular hand-band which brands him as a devout follower of the Church.
