Z Don returns

‘Nonsense’
crooner, Z Don Paporella, has released a new single, ‘Aye’n Soro (Rise
Again)’, off his upcoming third studio album, ‘I Am Zdon’. The new
track features acclaimed singer Faze, and is produced by erstwhile
Infinity group member, Sunny Steve. The track, themed around the
restoration of hope, boasts of a catchy dance beat blended with
soothing vocals from both crooners.

According to Z Don,
the album which was initially planned for a mid last year release as
‘The Rebirth’ will now be released on or shortly before Easter as ‘I Am
Zdon’. Other singles released from the album last year are ‘My Life’
featuring Dat N.I.G.Raw and ‘Angel’. Z Don, real name Nansel Nimyel,
came into mainstream music in 2006 with ‘Na You Be the Girl’ from the
‘Experience the Z’ album released that same year. The album was later
remixed and repackaged in 2007 as ‘Experience the Z: Reloaded’ and
released under Culbeed Music with new songs like ‘File Be’ and the
critically acclaimed ‘Nonsense.’

Timi Dakolo’s new video

The first ever Idol
West Africa winner Timi Dakolo has released a video for ‘Let it Shine’,
the lead single off his anticipated debut album. The video was shot by

Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson to honour Aretha Franklin at Grammys

Aretha Franklin
will receive a special tribute from an all-star lineup of female
singers, including Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, at the Grammy
Awards ceremony which takes place Sunday February 13. Esperanza
Spalding, a nominee for Best New Artist, has also been tapped to
perform at the ceremony alongside students from the Grammy Jazz
Ensembles and Grammy Camp. Aguilera, Hudson, Welch, Martina McBride and
Yolanda Adams will join together in a special segment that will feature

Williams Show” on January 12.

In 1987, Franklin
became the first female artist to be inducted into the Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame and was also the only featured singer at the 2009
Presidential inauguration of Barrack Obama.
