The Independent
National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ekiti State said it registered
750,753 eligible voters during the just concluded voter registration in
the state.
The Resident
Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the state, Isyaku Maigoro said that the
figure include those from the two local government areas: Ijero and
Ekiti East, where the exercise was extended by two days.
The REC commended
the peaceful conduct of the exercise and noted that the corp members
used for the exercise had received their entitlement.
On the display of
Aspirants’ list in the office of the commission in Ado-Ekiti, Mr
Maigoro directed that complaints should be sent to the INEC
headquarters in Abuja.
