The people of Imane community in Olamaboro local government area of Kogi State were on Saturday thrown into confusion, following the killing of some of their townsmen by thunderstorm.
LEADERSHIP reliably gathered that seven people, six females and a male, were struck dead on their way from the church. Our correspondent further gathered it had rained heavily that fateful night.
A community leader and erstwhile member of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Zekeri Ohiemi, who confirmed the incident, described it as very sad.
He said that such ugly incident had never happened in the area, and prayed to God that such a calamity should never befall the community again.
