Senate President To Lead PDP Leaders To Niger

The Senate President, David Mark, is to lead political leaders within the North Central zone of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to an emergency meeting of the party in Minna next Monday.
According to the release by the deputy press secretary to the governor of Niger State, Mr Bala Bitrus, governors of Niger, Kogi, Kwara, Benue and Plateau states are to attend the meeting.

The statement also added that the one day meeting would be attended by the members of the Board of Trustee of the party from the zone.
The statement added that the chairman of the party in the state, Alhaji Abdulrahaman Enagi, said that everything has been put in place to ensure a hitch free meeting while stating that the meeting is expected to trash crucial issues affecting the party in the zone.
Meanwhile, the governor of Niger State, Dr Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, has condole the All Nigeria Peoples Party and the family of the former Chairman of the party, Hon Edwin Ume-Ezeoke.

The governor said Ezeoke’s tenure as the chairman of ANPP saw him use his skills in steering the affairs of the party which helped stabilize democracy in Nigeria.
Aliyu further said that, “as politicians, we will be doing his memory a lot of good by adopting the disposition of accommodation, tolerance and egalitarians which he stood for in his career as a politician”.
Governor Aliyu said the nation would miss the fatherly advice of the late Chairman of the ANPP at this point of the nation’s life and therefore prayed that God grants all, the fortitude to bear the lost.
