Olympics: Falcons Intensify Training

Nigeria’s senior women’s national team, the Super Falcons are intensifying training for the Olympics qualifier game against the Lionesses of Cameroon.

To ensure that they book the Olympic ticket, the team is training twice daily. The coaches are also making sure they ascertain the fitness level of each player.
Already some of the new invitees are finding it difficult to cope with training while the old players have adjusted perfectly to their daily routine.

Yesterday morning the team trained in a training match with an U-17 boys team.

Super Falcons media officer, Gracious Akujobi, also confirmed that Stella Mbachu who was excused to rest her leg as a result of slight knock she sustained playing in her club joined her team mates in camp Wednesday night and was part of yesterday morning training session.
