Aso Savings & Loans Posts Gross Earnings of N10.012b

Aso Savings and Loans Plc has recorded gross earnings of N10.012 billion for the financial year ended March 31, 2010.

The result indicated a drop of N78 million or 0.77 per cent when compared with N10.090 billion recorded in the preceding year.

The audited results submitted to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and made available to LEADERSHIP showed that the institution also posted loss after tax of N3.247 billion compared with profit after tax of N873.48 million recorded in preceding year.

It said that the Net Asset Value stood at N1,796.12million compared with N5,477.53 million in March 2009.

Meanwhile the bank recently introduced a new savings promotion as part of measures to empower its customers to cultivate savings habit

The managing director said that the company has different premium products carefully designed to match individual’s financial capacity no matter the level of income.

He said that for the Opal Account, a customer is expected to open account with a minimum balance of N10, 000, the Pearl Account with a minimum balance of N20, 000, Ruby Account, with a minimum balance of N200, 000 while the Black Diamond Account required N500, 000 as minimum balance.
