The Future of The Glorious Family

The word ‘glorious’?? connotes?? “having or deserving great fame, praise and honour”.? In other words, a glorious family is? one characterised by illumination.? A glorious family possesses the grace to stand out as the light, even in darkness, so much that people see it from afar.? Such a family is like “a city set on a hill” and everyone around sees its light and glorifies God.? Matthew 5:14-16.

The family, the primary agent of socialization, has an impact in your personality.? It takes a glorious family for a person (adult or child) to be morally entrenched.? A reasonable number of the lunatics, criminals and prostitutes today would have been better people in the society, if they had been opportuned to have been born, raised or share from the light of glorious families. Joshua 24:15 says, “If it seems evil for you to serve the lord, chose for your selves this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were at the other side of the river or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the lord.”

The future, which is the time after the present, is usually at the receiving end.? It is like a product from a raw material or a fruit from a tree.? As we all know, it takes a good tree to produce a good fruit and good raw materials to manufacture good products. The bible says, “By their fruits, ye shall know them.”
However, you could be an agent of change in your family through the grace of God.? Noah was from the lineage of Adam, but he found grace before God.? The bible records in the book of Joshua that a time came that God saw that the wickedness of man was great and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was evil, so God regretted the fact that he created? man and he said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”

But Noah found grace before God, so it pleased God to exonerate him and his household from the planned annihilation. God directed Noah to build an ark for himself and his family, as well as for his livestock.? Joshua 7:1 says, “Then the lord said to Noah, come into the ark, you and your house hold, because I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generation.”? Noah and his household had entered the ark before God destroyed the earth with rain within forty days and forty nights. The? present generation is an off-shoot from Noah. Joshua 9:1 says, “So God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. And the fear of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird, on everything that moves on the earth and on all the fish of the sea. They are given unto your hand.”

The earth is in existence today, because of the grace of God upon the life of Noah. You could be the Noah in your family, the channel through which the glory of God would locate your family. To achieve this, you need to be a true believer so that your own light can be bright enough to illuminate other members of your family.
