The duo of Peter and Paul, popularly known as P-square, released their fifth album to the market last month. The Album, titled Invasion,has invaded the country? getting massive airplay on the airwaves across the country in the process. The 14 -track album is? definitely one of the best albums this year. Unlike their previous albums which featured only Tuface and J-Martins, they featured more artistes in this album.
One of Nigeria’s hottest rap star Naeto –C was featured in the song, ‘She’s Hot’ which is turning out to be one of the most popular songs in the album Naeto C was at his best and delivered his lines perfectly. The first tract in the album, ‘Beautiful Onyinye’ has received both praise and criticism- praise for the lyrics and delivery, criticism for its semblance to ‘No one like you’ in their previous album. The song attracted criticism from most people because of its style. Some argued that? it should have been titled No one like you remix.But contrary to the criticisms, which is typical of P-square ‘s love song, the song is getting massive airplay in weddings and other ceremonies.
‘Chop my money,’ the second track in the album, is more like a party song featuring May D, who recently signed to Square Records,? P-square’s label. Jeje featuring? Waje,? is one party song in the album which is similar to ‘Roll it’ and a song for the steppers. Another beautiful love song titled ‘Forever’ was the first official single released from the album and is currently the hottest tract in the album. It is? also? a hit in weddings? and has been well received across the country and beyond. The song will go down as one of the greatest Nigerian love songs
Muna and Eva showed their rap skills in the song Shake it down low and are getting props for that. The song can be classified a party song,more like tempo.Do as I do featuring Tiwa Savage and May D is another song rocking the dance halls at the moment.Tiwa Savage gave the song some flavor and May D exhibited his skills, May D is definitely one artiste to watch out for in the nearest future
The album? is certainly? in contention for album of the year.P-Square did a fantastic job and on a scale of 1-10,would definitely give the album a nine.
