?

Nigeria CAF Confederation Cup campaigners, Sunshine Stars of Akure and Kaduna United will be hopinng for places in the semi-finals of the continental competition, as the group mini-league phase ends this weekend.
?
A win for Sunshine Stars against visiting JS Kabylie of Algeria today in Ijebu- Ode will see them through to the semis from Group B, while their local rival have a mathematical chance of qualify from Group A, if they defeat visiting Club Africaine of Tunisia on Sunday in Kaduna. ?Angola’s Interclube are already through to last four from the group and, win for Nigerian team will see them finish runners-up on the head-to-head rule behind Interclube. Kaduna United is third on the log with five points against Tunisian team’s eight points.?
?
Head-to-head rule will also work for Sunshine Stars provided they overcome Algeria’s JS Kabylie irrespective of the outcome of the match between the Moroccan side and Motema Pembe of DR Congo. The Nigeria league table toppers boosted their chance of qualifying for the semis when they held DC Motema Pembe to a goalless draw in Kinshasa last weekend. Sunshine stars defeated JS Kabylie 2-1 in the first fixture in Algiers thanks to goals from Emmanuel Sunday and Sakibu Atanda.
?
The semi-finals take place in October with the Confederation Cup final scheduled for 18-20 November and 02-04 December.
Meanwhile, Enyimba International of Aba have cruised to the semi – final stage of the CAF Champions League with game left against Cameroon’s Coton Sport; but the People’s Elephant insist they have football scores to settle with their opponents on Sunday in Aba.
?The two – time African Champions still rue their loss in the hands of Coton Sport when both teams met in 2007, a defeat that caused Enyimba’s forced exit from Africa’s most prestigious club competition.
