Alleged Fraud Rocks Delta Broadcasting Service

?

Allegations of fraud and internal wranglings to unseat the acting general manager of the Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS) have set the station in crisis.
Management staffers of the station are said to be involved in as show down with one another having formed themselves into two factions, one for the embattled acting general manger Mr. Austin Mowah and the other with his deputy, Lesile Ogbewe.
?
?
But the duo have refused to speak on the issue decsribing it as nothing but a mere rumour.
However, the face-off was allegedly sponsored by some political party chieftains, to make Lesile Ogbewe ?substantive ?General manager after which Austin Mowah would be reposted to the Ministry of Information from where he was earlier redeployed to the station.
Though staffers are allegedly said to be grumbling over what may have been described as speculations but have planned to resist such moves.
Stakeholders who spoke with LEADERSHIP SUNDAY said it might bring about crisis if a person acting on a particular capacity but had been seen to be doing well and later removed.

On the other hand, Ogbewe reportedly said to have worked at the Agricultural Development project (ADP) Ibusa was allegedly accused of collecting the sum of N48,000 and as weekly allowance for fueling the station’s vehicles, an allegation vigorously debunked by some insiders.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner for Information , Barrister Chike Ogeah had been urged to take steps to avert brewing crisis.
In October 2010, one Stella Amaka was allegedly to have been demoted on allegations of fraud and other related offences.
?
?
Though Stella denied the allegation as untrue, unconfirmed sources alleged that she was involved in sharp practices which resulted in her demotion from manager marketing grade level 13 to 10 and was allegedly asked to make a refund of the amount.
However, Austin Mowah has been seen as a core professional that revamped the ailing situation of the station which until recently was on epileptic tramiission.
Efforts to get comments from the state Information Commissioner, Barrister Chike Ogeah proved abortive when our ?correspondent called on him, but has requested to be excused for another time to enable him gather details.
