Tribunal Has Exposed CPC’s Antics – Sambo

Vice-President Namadi Sambo has broken his silence on the the conduct of the 2011 general elections, saying that the Election Petitions Tribunals have exposed the antics of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) by annulling most of its seats in the National Assembly.

The Vice President said this at the North-West Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) meeting held at the weekend in Kaduna.

According to Sambo, the CPC used violence to win some of the seats in the states legislature and National Assembly elections in the North West zone.

He said, “It is heart warming to note that the Election Petitions Tribunals have had cause to determine election petitions under a conducive atmosphere and delivered judgments reflective of the true wishes and aspirations of the people.

“Our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party has recorded great milestone in these petitions where the tribunals ordered for re-elections, having found irregularities, malpractices, manipulations and other negative vices perpetrated by our opponents to get a favourable outcome of such elections, even in areas that were adjudged not to be our strongholds or domain.”
