The Cross River State Broadcasting Corporation (CRBC) has commenced test transmission from the Obudu Mountain Resort as part of the realisation of its universal coverage programme.
According to the Cross River State governor, Liyel Imoke when fully operational before the end of November 2011, the facility will transmit on five kilowatts for radio and 10 kilowatts for television.??? ?
He said that the facility would enable this year’s Obudu Mountain Race billed for the last quarter of November to be broadcast live by CRBC?? ?
The Governor made this known to newsmen at the end of an on the spot assessment of facilities at the Obudu Mountain resort transmission station.
He said that the station made good progress due to the efforts of the consultants and the engineering team of CRBC led by Mr Otu Eyo.
Imoke said the test transmission marked the last phase of his administration’s determination to provide a universal coverage by CRBC.
