‘Removal of fuel subsidy will set Nigeria on fire’

The Spiritual Father and Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Worldwide, Most Reverend, Samuel Abidoye has warned that the removal of fuel subsidy would further worsen the plight of the already suffering Nigerian masses.

He expressed worry that the policy if implemented could send the country down the precipice of further violence.

The Spiritual father stressed that with the current insecurity in the country the removal of fuel subsidy was capable of inflaming the already charged atmosphere.

The cleric who gave the warning while speaking with newsmen at the church’s International Headquarters, Kaduna on the state of the Nation however advised the Federal Government to rather concentrate its efforts on revamping the nation’s four comatose refineries as well as building new ones before toying with the idea of withdrawing subsidy.
