As the first phase of the Sokoto State University project nears completion and its scheduled 2013 kick-off date, the state governor, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has said that there is no going back on his administration’s bid to enhance the educational development of the State.???????????????????????????????????????????
Special adviser to the governor? on higher education, Prof. Ghadjhaam V. Ardo, stated this when he hosted newsmen overthe weekend, adding that when completed, the university “will not only? be a leading force in university education in the country that will serve all Nigerians, but one of global repute”.?
Ardo also revealed that a consultant of the Kansas State University, USA,Dr. Miral Gordon, was responsible for the university’s framework, and addedthat academic exercise will first commence in the faculties education, arts and social science, upon completion.
“Governor Wamakko as an educationist will never abandon this project.
