APGA Constitutes 14-Man Burial Committee For Odumegwu-Ojukwu

The National working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA ) on Thursday in Abuja announced a 14-man committee for the burial of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegu-Ojukwu.

A statement, signed by Chief Ifeanacho Oguejofor, the party’s National Director of Publicity, stated that the committee would liaise with the family and the national burial committee to give Odumegwu-Ojukwu a befitting burial.

The statement made available, stated that the committee would hold its inaugural meeting on Jan. 3, 2012 in Enugu.

“We urge the party faithful to close ranks and build on the sound ideals, principles and fundamentals Ojukwu stood and died for. We also pray for a peaceful repose of his departed soul on the bosom of the lord almighty.'”

It said that Mr Alfred Nwosu would serve as the burial committee chairman, while Mr Ifeanyi Mbaeri, would? serve as secretary.

Other members are Mr Jolly Ngbor, Mrs Chinyere Okeke, Alhaji Ibrahim Garuba, Mr Tondo Joseph, Mr Ferguson Okpara, Mr Morgan Onyalechi and chairmen of the party from Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo States.

It would be recalled that Odumegwu-Ojukwu died on Nov. 26 in a London hospital.?
