Aregbesola Orders Robbers To Leave Osun

Osun State Governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola has told armed robbers to stay away from the state, as he was ready to make the state unbearable for them.

He also assured? that his administration would do everything possible to ensure that the people of the state are no more harassed and tormented through any form of crime.

The governor gave this assurance during a courtesy visit by the new Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Zone XI, Mr. Johnson Uzuegbuna.

He said that the state government would in no distant time acquire sufficient and sophisticated security equipment that would make it impossible for hoodlums to take the security of the state for granted.

He further stated that the state is noted for peace while his adminstration is poised to create wealth for its citizenry in an atmosphere of calmness and peace, saying that government would not allow anybody to jeopardise the existing peace in the state.

He said, “We are doing everything within our power to see that nobody will be able to harass, torment, provoke and disturb the peace of our people and the state anymore. We will in no distant future acquire sufficient and sophisticated security equipment that will make it impossible for hoodlums to take our peace for granted.

This is a state of peace, which is poised to creating wealth for the citizenry in an atmosphere of calmness and peace.”

Commending the police for their cooperation with the government in fighting crime in the state, the Governor said, “We are happy that the police have been highly cooperative, calm and committed to ensuring that we maintain the atmosphere of peace, security and stability.
