The principal of God’s Time Acaedmy, Pius Ayubi, a private school located in Ngwan doka in Karu Local Government? Area of Nasarawa State slumped and died hours after the graduation ceremony of the school LEADERSHIP SUNDAY gathered.
According to eye witnesses who spoke with LEADERSHIP SUNDAY, the late Mr. Pius? had excused himself from the high table he was seated with other dignitaries who had come for the ceremony to answer a call.
“In the process of receiving the call, he slumped and we took him to the hospital where hours later, he was confirmed dead by the doctors,” late Pius Deputy, Baba Are said.
Speaking further, Are said they later got to know the source of the death of the head teacher, when it was confirmed that the last recieved number? on the deceased phone killed him.
“ I joked with him that I was an EFCC Official calling from the headquarters and that my officers were on his trail over a petition by some people that he embezzled money running into millions of Naira. But before I could explain to him that I was only joking, and that as a friend, I wanted to give him my new number, the call went off. I had kept trying his number to no avail, only for me to be told later that it was my call that led to the death of my friend. I regret this expensive joke,” the deadly caller- friend of the late Pius narrated.
The late educationist, his colleagues confirmed was hypertensive and had not had a good sleep for over two days as he went about to ensure a hitch free graduation ceremony which eventually resulted to his death.
