Nigerians Frustrated Over Inability To Access Websites Of MDAs

The persistent inability of Nigerians across the world to access the official websites of government ministries, departments and agencies, MDAs, has continued to generate negative reactions across board even as no efforts are being made by the authorities concerned to salvage the situation.

Speaking to LEADERSHIP WEEKEND, Mrs Funke Martins a Nigerian based in the United Kingdom narrated the continuous ordeal many Nigerians face every day both at home and abroad.

“I recall when I was working on my thesis during my master’s degree in the UK on satellite related topic; I wanted to access the official websites of the National Space Research and Development Agency, NASRDA. To my surprise, the site just didn’t open,” Funke alleged.

She said the inability of Nigerians to access these websites shows government’s unpreparedness to open Nigeria to the rest of the world to see. “This is causing the country a lot of embarrassment and all affected MDAs must be sanctioned and made to account for this negligence,” she admonished.

Another respondent, Dr. Kosi Preye, an IT engineer rated the websites of MDAs low and concluded that a total overhauling was needed if the government was serious about developing the ICT sector of the economy.

I am just trying to get answer to on line access. I am wondering what the problem is and how long it may not be accessible as I have a friend there and have not been able to contact him. I just want information on the problem that is all.
    Thank you.
