Dickson Tackles Sylva Over N61b Monthly Allocation

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Gubernatorial flag bearer in Bayelsa State, Hon Henry Seriake Dickson, yesterday, accused Governor Timipre Sylva of mismanaging resources and destroying the master plan for the development of the State. This was just as he said that Sylva stayed in Abuja and squandered N61billion received as allocation in the last three months.

The guber candidate said that he has mapped out a plan to redesign the mutilated master plan for the development of Yenagoa as the State capital and insisted that Sylva squandered N34 billion in the month of November last year and another N27 billion in December.

Speaking in Okolobiri at the commencement of the State wide campaign rally for the Yenagoa Local Government Area, Dickson, said that the party had tendered apology to the people on behalf of the failed administration of Sylva and has decided to lead by example to develop the State according to the master plan.

Dickson told the crowd of supporters that the implementation of the existing master plan was lopsided and that the current status of Yenagoa was not befitting of a State capital.

Meanwhile, about 1,500 youths from over 300 communities of the State have signed on to be campaign volunteers for the governorship campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearer even as they asked the flag bearer to fulfill all his campaign promises on development and empowerment in the State.

According to the Volunteers, under the aegis of Keme-to-Keme meaning Door-to-door, they are poised to sell the candidature of the PDP governorship candidate to aggrieved party members and residents of the State and tender unreserved apology for the failure of past administration of the Party in the State.
