Sokoto State Commissioner of Police,? Alhaji Adisa Bolanta,yesterday appealed to the people to desist from spreading? false information about? alleged security threat? to the state.
Bolanta told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Sokoto that the command was on top of the security situation in the state, and that, already, officers and men of the command had been placed on red alert to confront? any security challenges. He called on the people to continue with their normal activities.
“I have just went round the metropolis to see things for myself and there is no threat to security in the Seat of the Caliphate,” he said.
Bolanta appealed to the people to report those people spreading rumour of insecurity in the state to the nearest security agencies for prompt action.
