4 Ships Berth In Lagos Ports – NPA

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) on Tuesday said 24 ships have berthed at the Lagos ports and oil jetties discharging their cargoes.

The “Shipping Position”, an official document of the NPA, released in Lagos indicated that six of the ships were discharging petrol and diesel.

It said that the remaining ships were discharging bulk soya, bulk cement, bulk sugar, bulk wheat, gypsum, rice, steel products and containers.

The 17 other ships with petroleum products were waiting to berth.

The ships are laden with petrol, aviation fuel, kerosene, diesel, lubricating oil and base oil.

However, 15 other ships, laden with rice, fish, general cargo and containers, were also waiting to berth.

The NPA document showed that 97 other ships are expected to sail into the Lagos ports between now and March 20.
