State governor, Hajiya Fatima Shema, yesterday launched the sales of grains at subsidized prices to women in the state.
Speaking at the launch which was witnessed by women from different strata in the state, Mrs Shema said the measure was aimed at mitigating the effect of the recent fuel subsidy removal “specifically on women”.
She reaffirmed her determination to support women- friendly policies in the state, the governor’s wife challenged women to engage in profitable ventures so as to boost their sources of income.
