Kuje Immunises Cattle Against Diseases

The Chairman of Kuje area council, Hon. Danladi Zhin has flagged off a 14-day immunisation of cattle in the council.

This is part of efforts by the council to promote hygienic meat consumption in the council.

The chairman said the council decided to immunise the livestock in realisation of the fact that if the health of livestock in the council is not taken into consideration, it would affect the lives of those consuming.

He said, “Fulani cattle rearers are very important to us, for food and for wealth creation in the country. I want to urge the Fulani’s to cooperate with the personnel in charge of the immunisation of the cattle, within this two weeks programme in order for it to be successful,” he said.

The head of agric department in the council, Dr. Baba Tunde, commended the chairman for the exercise and promised to effectively carry out the immunisation and de-worming of about 30,000 cattle in the council.
