Immigration Faults SERVICOM Over 35% Valuation

The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Mrs. Rose Chineyere Uzoma, yesterday queried the 35 percent service delivery rating given to them by the Service Compact for All Nigerian (SERVICOM), and demanded to see the criteria used in arriving at that value.

The NIS comptroller-general, who made this remark in Abuja, when the national coordinator of SERVICOM, Mr. Sylbriks Obriki, paid her a courtesy call in her office, said it was important to know the criteria as such would to enable the agency to improve its services.

?“We want to know where we have erred as to improve, especially with regard to work standard, but if it has to do with finances, we could err because we do not have money,” she said, and expressed pride at the level of dedication to duty of her officers.

Uzoma further called on Nigerians to take the trouble of coming themselves to get their own passports rather than contracting it to avert errors in the filling of personal data.
