The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) will deploy more than 400 men to monitor vehicular movements in Delta during the Easter celebration.
Mrs Susan Ajenge, the FRSC?Commander in Delta, gave the figure?on Thursday in Asaba in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Ajenge?said that the command had 400 men already on ground and is expecting more?from its headquarters in Abuja.
“The men and other volunteers would keep 24 hours surveillance on the roads, especially the Onitsha/Benin Expressway, throughout period of the celebration to ensure free flow of traffic.
“I want to advise road users that this is another celebration and there is need for everyone to exercise caution and reduce speed to stay alive.
“We need to celebrate life and if we must drive, we should not drink,’’ Ajenge cautioned. (NAN)
