The pastors being tried for conspiracy and forgery are the former President of CAC, Pastor Elijah Howard Oluseye, Pastor Gideon Okegwemeh, the General Secretary, Pastor Johnson Olabisi, and a senior staff of Corporate Affairs Office, Abuja, AbdulAkeem Mohammed.?

They were accused of conspiring to forge some documents to register the Christ Apostolic Church.

Testifying for the prosecution, a pastor in the supreme council faction of the church, Moses Ayantoye deposed that in 1991, the certificate of incorporation of the church was fraudulently obtained by the accused persons.

He told the court that Pastor Olabisi , one of the accused persons? knew fully that he had no legal right to collect the certificate from the Corporate Affairs Commission because he was neither the president nor the secretary of the church, went ahead to do so.
