A former Special Assistant to the Governor of Kaduna State, Mr. Patrick Yakowa, on Political matters, Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmadu yesterday said that the? speculation? that the Vice President, Namadi Sambo’s original state of origin was Edo State was a political blackmail.
The former Yakowa aide, who spoke with LEADERSHIP in Kaduna said, “I will like to call? the attention of the people? carrying the rumour that the Vice President is not from Kaduna; that this is a pure political blackmail. The VP is from Kaduna State, he is from Zaria and everybody knows that he was born and brought up in Zaria, he also went to school in Zaria and passed out in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; he had his first degree in Zaria.
?“From our belief and perspective, Vice President is not from Wushishi, he is not from Bauchi, and he is not from Edo. He is an indigene of Kaduna State. He was born and brought up in Kaduna State. So, I think what people are saying is rubbish,” he added.
Speaking on the relationship between Governor Yakowa and his former boss the Vice President, he said, “Sir Patrick Yakowa is in good relationship with the Vice President, Namadi Sambo and they are working hand in hand to see development in this state in all ramifications.”
?“The governor briefs the Vice President on some issues the VP is not aware of,? likewise the VP to Yakowa, so they are in good relationship.
?“The present governor of the state has the youths in his mind, we have seen him working hard, and we have hope and belief that the government of Patrick Yakowa would lead us to the higher ground.
?“I want to use this? opportunity to call on the youths of Kaduna State to preach and work peace. From all indications, Yakowa is a man of God,” he said.
