Auto Crash Kills Lebanese, Concubine In Benue

Pandemonium broke out at the NNPC Depot along Makurdi-Otukpo expressway at Apir Village in Makurdi Local Government Area (LGA) of Benue State when a Lebanese expatriate (names withheld) and his concubine were knocked down and killed by a fully loaded truck.
?? LEADERSHIP gathered that the Lebanese, who is a construction engineer, allegedly came to Apir village with his vehicle, a Hilux van, to drop his concubine (a married mother of two) and that he had parked by the road side and was chatting with her before the tragedy struck.
An eyewitness said that an oncoming vehicle, said to have belong to Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) accidentally hit the parked Hilux van in which the victims were sitting and killed the expatriate on the spot.

It was further learnt that the woman, who is a mother of two children, was reportedly accused by her husband of having an intimate relationship with the Lebanese and warned her to desist from the act.

But it was later gathered that the woman had ignored the warning from her husband and refused to stop from playing games with the foreigner until that unfortunate day when the man came to drop her and the accident occurred.

The woman was eventually rushed to a nearby hospital at Apir Village for proper treatment but she later died.

?The husband of the deceased woman, who wanted his name not to be mention, refused to speak to press during the burial which took place at Apir village, Makurdi over the weekend.
