Nasarawa State Gives Farmers 2 Weeks To Repay Agric Loans

The Nasarawa State Government has given ?beneficiaries of the ‘Badakoshi’ Agricultural Loan Scheme two weeks to repay the loans.

The ‘Badakoshi’ scheme was an agricultural intervention project set up by the ?Aliyu Doma Administration through which N1 billion and farm inputs were disbursed to farmers.

The Administration inaugurated the scheme in 2008 with the aim of boosting the capacity of small-scale farmers for increased food production.

In a statement in Lafia on Thursday, the Commissioner for Justice, Mr Mohammed Abdullahi, said the government would not fold its arms over the nonchalant attitude of the loan beneficiaries over the repayment.

He said if the beneficiaries failed to repay the loans within two weeks, the ?government would use all available means to make the recovery. ?(NAN)
