Jonathan Opens 3-Day Meeting Over Terrorism At NIPSS

President Goodluck Jonathan has declare open a three-day meeting of eminent Nigerians for an indepth? talk on insecurity in the country.

The event will be held at the Unity Hall of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru, Jos, Plateau State on the theme, ‘Complex Insurgency in Nigeria.’

While declaring the meeting open, President Jonathan who was represented by Minister of Police Affair, Navy Capt Caleb Olubolade, described? terrorism as the most potent threat to Nigerian today, destroying the nation’s human resources and frustrating our economies. He listed some of the effort to contain the scourge.

He said, “The federal government has directed a comprehensive blueprint on how to combat terrorism as part of the ongoing transformational agenda of the current administration.

“Government has been providing logistic support for security and intelligence gathering and has not renenge on such efforts because it is the desire of this administration to sustain the unity and indivisibility of this country.”
