Jonathan Asks UN To Treat Terrorists As Common Enemy

President Goodluck Jonathan has implored the United Nations to approach the war against terrorists strongly and follow them with the zeal of a fighter who intends to crush the world’s common enemies.

Speaking at a cocktail organised in honour of participants at the regional conference on counter terrorism held in Abuja, the president said UN must not continue to treat terrorism as a local issue, adding that the menace had become a global issue since it cuts across sub regions and the world.

“Terrorism is a menace to all of us. The world and indeed the United Nations must come together and see terrorists as our common enemies. Those who throw explosives at people are not metally-deranged,” he said.
